Brilliant Blue Designs LLC Privacy Policy
This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for brilliantbluedesigns.com, jamie-thomson-designer.com and it’s subdomains. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by this web site. It will notify you of the following:
- What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the web site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
- What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
- The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
- How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.
Information Use, Collection, and Sharing
Information given to us by you- the potential, existing, or enquiring customer- through email or phone contact, newsletter sign-up, or through agreeing to download information, is considered protected communication and information. This information will be referred to in this section as “protected information”. We are the sole owners of this protected information.
We will use your protected information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We may add you to a newsletter list in the future if you agree to be added. We will not share your protected information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary or requested by you to fulfill your request, e.g. to complete a service or complete a consultation.
Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.
We request additional protected information from you on our invoices. To do business with us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address). For the most part, we handle payment through third-party agencies (i.e. Paypal, Stripe, getHarvest) on secure servers so we personally do not handle your financial information and leave that to the professionals.
Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. We take every reasonable effort to keep our site secure and updated.
Wherever we collect financial data such as credit card numbers, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. As mentioned above, payments are processed securely through verified third-party processors. No credit card numbers are held or handled by us directly for security reasons- we will not process credit cards ourselves or take credit card numbers from you directly.
We also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, customer service, website access) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment. For those of our customers who send checks, we do hold on to the paper checks in our filing until we know our bank has properly processed them, and then we destroy them.
We take the security of your information as seriously as we take our own.
Your Access to and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:
- See what data we have about you, if any.
- Change/correct any data we have about you.
- Have us delete any data we have about you.
- Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
Cookies and Web Beacons
This site occasionally uses third party advertisements and affiliate linking on jamie-thomson-designer.com to assist in supporting our site and business. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through Google AdSense program, or Google Analytics) information including your IP address, your ISP, your web browser, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York ads for someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on certain sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who visits cooking sites).
You can chose to disable or selectively chose to turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login in to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.
Further disclosure about impact of use of affliate linking and advertising on this site can be found in our disclosures.
